Vision Design for Organizations

Business Process Design

Companies taking a new strategic direction as well as on-going improvements due to introduction of SAP R/3, Baan or data warehousing solutions require a rework of the organizational structures and the business processes. The involvement of key personnel is an important prerequisite for fast and effective implementation of changes.

Integration of business processes, whether intra-departmental or company-wide, repeatedly leads to communication problems and other deficiencies. A special organizational development process Vision Design for Organizations has been developed to overcome these problems.

Vision Design for Organization workshops optimize business processes, taking into account business goals, employees, tools and methods, measurement and reward systems and organizational structures. Working groups are made capable of analyzing the current situation without conflict and developing interactive scenarios and comparing and consolidating these in group consensus. Identified and agreed measures for improvement of business processes can then be transmitted to those responsible for detailed planning.

Use of graphics with easily-recognizable SeeMap symbols permits overcoming of normal communication difficulties. Various perspectives and horizons are tuned to each other and a natural consensus formed.

With the help of a tightly-run process, the participants are able, within two days, to:

  • Show the current situation at two levels of detail

  • Develop alternative desired scenarios or complementary detailed scenarios in parallel group work

  • Consolidate the desired scenarios

  • Create a thought-out catalogue of measures to be taken with responsibilities defined

The workshop can cater for up to 24 participants, with results being established, presented and consolidated in teams of four. Responsibilities for jointly-decided measures and the timing thereof are assigned during the workshop and all participants receive results documentation.
